In simple words
Your life path number comes from your full birth date: add up the digits and reduce them to one number (11, 22 and 33 stay as they are). It describes the road you walk in life.
Life path 2 is called "The Peacemaker". Read Gifts for your strengths and Challenges for what to work on. The worked example at the bottom shows exactly how it is calculated.
Gifts
Tact, empathy and a gift for bringing people together. You notice what others feel and know how to ease tension. You are patient, supportive and quietly creative, and you make a wonderful partner or collaborator.
Challenges
You may give too much, avoid conflict or lose yourself in pleasing others. Sensitivity can tip into moodiness or self-doubt, especially when you feel unappreciated. You may also wait for someone else to decide, then feel unheard when they do. Your quiet wisdom is valuable, and the people around you need to hear it.
Life path 2 in love
Love is central to your life. You are devoted, romantic and attentive, and you thrive with a partner who is gentle and appreciative. Saying what you need, not just what they need, keeps your relationships balanced.
Life path 2 at work
Diplomacy, counselling, teaching, the arts and any team-based work suit you. You excel as the trusted second in command or as the one who keeps a group working smoothly together.
Growing as a 2
Practise saying a kind but firm no. Balance is not only keeping others happy; it includes caring for yourself. Each day, notice one need of your own and meet it as gently as you would meet someone else's. Your peace-making begins at home, with you.
How to calculate it
Reduce the month, the day and the year of birth to single digits (keeping 11, 22 and 33), then add them and reduce again. For example, 11 August 1990:
- Month 8
- Day 11
- Year 1990 → 19 → 10 → 1
- 8 + 11 + 1 = 20 → 2
