In simple words
Your life path number comes from your full birth date: add up the digits and reduce them to one number (11, 22 and 33 stay as they are). It describes the road you walk in life.
Life path 3 is called "The Expressive". Read Gifts for your strengths and Challenges for what to work on. The worked example at the bottom shows exactly how it is calculated.
Gifts
Creativity, humour and a natural way with words. You inspire, entertain and encourage others, and your optimism is contagious. Art, writing and performance often come easily to you. Your words can lift a room, and your imagination finds colour in ordinary days. Friends often turn to you when they need encouragement or a fresh perspective on a problem.
Challenges
You may scatter your energy across too many projects or hide deeper feelings behind cheerfulness. Criticism can sting, and self-doubt may stop you from sharing your best work. When life gets heavy, you may hide in distraction or jokes rather than face the feeling underneath. Staying with discomfort a little longer often unlocks your deepest creativity.
Life path 3 in love
You love playfully and expressively, and you need a partner who enjoys conversation and laughter. Honest emotional talk, not just fun, deepens your bonds and helps you feel truly understood.
Life path 3 at work
Writing, media, design, teaching, performing and any work involving communication or creativity suit you. You do best in lively environments where your ideas are welcomed. You also bring energy to teams and can make difficult messages easier to hear. Choose work that leaves room for your ideas, or build a creative outlet beside it.
Growing as a 3
Finish one creative project before starting the next. Your voice deserves to be heard, so give it a finished form. Practise honest expression as well as joyful expression. When you share what is real, your creativity gains a depth that touches people far beyond the moment.
How to calculate it
Reduce the month, the day and the year of birth to single digits (keeping 11, 22 and 33), then add them and reduce again. For example, 1 January 1990:
- Month 1
- Day 1
- Year 1990 → 19 → 10 → 1
- 1 + 1 + 1 = 3
