In simple words
Your life path number comes from your full birth date: add up the digits and reduce them to one number (11, 22 and 33 stay as they are). It describes the road you walk in life.
Life path 8 is called "The Achiever". Read Gifts for your strengths and Challenges for what to work on. The worked example at the bottom shows exactly how it is calculated.
Gifts
Ambition, organisation and executive ability. You see the big picture and know how to make things happen. You are resilient and determined, often achieving through sustained effort. You can carry responsibility under pressure and make difficult decisions calmly. People often look to you to steady the ship and set direction.
Challenges
You may struggle with balance between work and life, or feel misunderstood. Fear of failure or a focus on status can lead to stress and strained relationships. You may judge yourself only by results and feel restless even after success. Loosening your grip on control can bring surprising relief.
Life path 8 in love
You are loyal and protective in love, though you may express care through providing rather than words. A partner who understands your ambitions and reminds you to rest makes all the difference.
Life path 8 at work
Business, finance, management, law and any leadership role suit you. You excel where strategy, responsibility and long-term vision are rewarded. You do especially well when you have authority to match your responsibility. Mentoring others can become one of the most rewarding parts of your career.
Growing as a 8
Use your power to lift others. Success feels fullest when it serves something larger than yourself. Measure success in several ways: relationships, health and peace of mind as well as achievement. Power used generously becomes a lasting legacy.
How to calculate it
Reduce the month, the day and the year of birth to single digits (keeping 11, 22 and 33), then add them and reduce again. For example, 6 January 1990:
- Month 1
- Day 6
- Year 1990 → 19 → 10 → 1
- 1 + 6 + 1 = 8
